EZ Texting Pricing and Plans Compared With EZ Texting Alternatives
By ColdTexting team 7 min read
EZ Texting pricing starts at $25 a month for the Launch plan, or $20 a month billed yearly, and runs through Boost at $75 and Scale at $125 to Enterprise at $3,000 a month for a dedicated short code. Launch, Boost and Scale all include the same 500 credits a month and one user. What changes between them is the contact range they are sized for, the number type and the price of each extra credit. Extra users cost $10 a month each, and carrier fees are billed on top.
We read the EZ Texting pricing page line by line in October 2026 so you can compare it with your real volume and team size, not the headline price. Below is the full price list, three worked examples, the costs people miss and the alternatives worth a demo if EZ Texting does not fit.
EZ Texting plans and prices in 2026
EZ Texting sells four plans. The first price is what you pay month to month, the second is the monthly equivalent when you pay for a year up front.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Yearly billing | Sized for | Credits included | Extra credit | Number |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Launch | $25 | $20 a month | Up to 500 contacts | 500 a month | 4 cents | Local textable number |
| Boost | $75 | $60 a month | 500 to 2,000 contacts | 500 a month | 3.5 cents | Local high-volume number |
| Scale | $125 | $100 a month | 2,000 to 50,000 contacts | 500 a month | 3 cents | Local high-volume, high-speed number |
| Enterprise | $3,000 | Not listed | 50,000 contacts and up | 200,000 a month | 1 cent | Dedicated short code |
A standard text uses one credit per contact and a picture message uses three. Every plan allows unlimited contact uploads, and Scale adds an onboarding specialist. Enterprise adds a dedicated success manager and priority support, and its short code takes 4 to 12 weeks to provision.
The thing to notice is that the first three plans include the same 500 credits. Moving from Launch to Scale does not buy you more messages. It buys a faster sending number, a lower overage rate and a plan sized for a bigger list. So the right plan depends less on how many people are on your list and more on how many texts you send past the first 500.
EZ Texting costs that are easy to miss
Four line items move the real monthly bill away from the plan price.
- Users. Launch, Boost and Scale include one user. Each extra user is $10 a month, so a five person team adds $40.
- Telecom fee. Launch carries a $5 monthly telecom fee. Boost and Scale waive it.
- Carrier pass-through fees. US carriers charge business texters per message, and EZ Texting bills those separately based on what you send. Sales tax may also apply.
- Additional numbers. Extra numbers are available for a fee the pricing page does not state, so ask for it in writing if each rep or location needs its own number.
Credit expiry matters too. On monthly billing, unused credits roll over for one more billing cycle while the subscription is active. On yearly billing, the full year of credits is issued up front and expires 12 months after purchase, so a seasonal business that buys a yearly plan for the busy months can lose what it does not use.
What you will actually pay at three volumes
Here is the arithmetic for three common buyers, using monthly billing and leaving carrier fees out because they depend on your traffic. The figures come straight from the price list above.
| Buyer | EZ Texting plan | Monthly cost before carrier fees |
|---|---|---|
| Solo owner, 300 contacts, 500 texts a month | Launch | $25 plus $5 telecom fee = $30 |
| Team of 5, 1,500 contacts, 2,000 texts a month | Boost | $75 plus 4 users at $10 plus 1,500 extra credits at 3.5 cents = $167.50 |
| Team of 10, 8,000 contacts, 6,000 texts a month | Scale | $125 plus 9 users at $10 plus 5,500 extra credits at 3 cents = $380 |
For the solo owner, EZ Texting is one of the cheapest ways to send a few hundred promotional texts a month, and it is hard to beat at that size. The math changes as soon as you add people and volume, because users and overage credits are where the money goes. If you buy credit bundles at checkout, EZ Texting says discounts are available, so ask before you assume the overage rate.
EZ Texting alternatives worth a demo
Most people looking for an EZ Texting alternative are leaving for one of three reasons: the per-user cost on a growing team, the overage bill, or a texting program that has moved from retail promotions to sales follow-up where compliance is the bigger risk. Match the alternative to the reason.
SimpleTexting
The closest like-for-like replacement. SimpleTexting starts at $39 a month for 500 credits and includes 3 users and unlimited contacts, with extra teammates at $20 a month, local numbers at $10 a month and extra credits at 5.5 cents. A team of two or three that sends mostly broadcasts may come out ahead. We put the full list side by side on our SimpleTexting pricing and alternative page.
SlickText and Textedly
Both are built for the same job EZ Texting does well: keyword signups, coupons and announcements to a subscriber list for retail, restaurants and gyms. Price them at your real credit volume and user count, because the plan names do not line up one to one.
ColdTexting
ColdTexting is for teams whose texting is mostly one to one with leads and clients: sales teams, agencies, insurance agents, real estate and recruiting. Every contact carries a consent record with the wording, time and source, imports without a consent source are held back, quiet hours follow the recipient's state and time zone, and 10DLC registration is filed inside your account. Follow-ups run as SMS sequences that stop on reply, so nobody gets a "just checking in" after they have booked.
Pricing is counted in segments and seats. Starter is $49 a month or $24 billed yearly for one user and 500 segments. Growth is $149 a month or $74 billed yearly for 5 users, 3 numbers and 2,500 segments, with HubSpot, Pipedrive and Zapier sync. Scale is $499 a month or $249 billed yearly for 15 users, 10,000 segments, Salesforce sync and an API. The five person team from the table above fits Growth with room to spare, at $149 monthly or $74 on yearly billing. See every limit on the pricing page.
EZ Texting vs ColdTexting side by side
| What you are comparing | EZ Texting | ColdTexting |
|---|---|---|
| Cheapest monthly plan | $25 for 500 credits plus $5 telecom fee | $49 for 500 segments |
| Cheapest plan billed yearly | $20 a month | $24 a month |
| Users included | 1, then $10 each | 1 on Starter, 5 on Growth, 15 on Scale |
| Messages included on mid plans | 500 credits on every non-Enterprise plan | 2,500 segments on Growth, 10,000 on Scale |
| Contacts | Unlimited uploads | 2,500 to 500,000 new contacts a month by plan |
| Short code | Enterprise, $3,000 a month | Not offered, registered 10DLC numbers on every plan |
| Consent record required per contact | Not listed on pricing page | Yes, on every plan |
| Quiet hours by recipient state | Not listed on pricing page | Yes, including Florida and Oklahoma caps |
| Litigator and reassigned number scrub | Not listed on pricing page | Scale and Enterprise |
EZ Texting wins on entry price for a solo sender and on short code access for very large broadcast programs. ColdTexting wins when you pay for seats and volume together, and when the risk you are buying down is a TCPA claim rather than a missed coupon. A single text without consent can cost $500, or up to $1,500 if willful, which is why the controls on our TCPA compliance software page matter more than a few dollars of plan difference for sales teams.
How to decide in ten minutes
- Count your senders. If more than two people text, price the seats first. That is where per-user plans get expensive.
- Estimate texts, not contacts. Multiply the list you text by how often you text it. A 1,000 person list texted four times a month is 4,000 messages.
- Decide what kind of texting you do. Broadcast promotions point to EZ Texting, SimpleTexting or SlickText. One to one lead follow-up points to a tool with sequences, routing and consent proof.
- Ask about registration. Every US business sending from a 10 digit number needs a registered brand and campaign. Find out whether the vendor files it or sends you instructions. Our 10DLC registration page explains what carriers review.
- Get the all-in quote. Plan, users, numbers, overage and carrier fees, in writing.
If a big share of your texts are payment reminders rather than sales or promotions, you may not need a marketing platform at all. Finance teams often get further with software that chases unpaid invoices by email and text and stops when the customer pays.
EZ Texting pricing questions buyers ask
How much does EZ Texting cost per month?
EZ Texting costs $25 a month for Launch, $75 for Boost, $125 for Scale and $3,000 for Enterprise when billed monthly. Yearly billing lowers Launch to $20, Boost to $60 and Scale to $100 a month. Extra users, extra credits, a $5 telecom fee on Launch and carrier fees are added on top.
Does EZ Texting have a free plan?
No. EZ Texting offers a 14-day free trial and then requires a paid plan, starting with Launch at $25 a month. ColdTexting has no free plan either, but you can score your messages in the compliance checker without an account and get a one-time demo after signup.
Does EZ Texting charge per user?
Yes. Launch, Boost and Scale each include one user, and every additional user costs $10 a month. A team of five on any of those plans pays $40 a month for seats on top of the plan price, which is worth comparing against tools that include several users.
Do EZ Texting credits roll over?
On monthly plans, unused credits roll over for one additional billing cycle while your subscription stays active. On yearly plans, credits are issued up front and expire 12 months after purchase. Legacy and custom plans may not include rollover, so check your contract.
What are the best EZ Texting alternatives?
For retail promotions, SimpleTexting, SlickText and Textedly are the closest substitutes. For sales teams, agencies and regulated industries that text leads one to one, ColdTexting adds consent records on every contact, state quiet hours, sequences that stop on reply and 10DLC filing inside the app.
Text leads without the legal risk
Consent records, STOP handling and quiet hours on every plan, from $24 per month billed yearly.
