Textline Pricing and a Textline Alternative for Sales Teams Texting Leads
Textline pricing starts at $149 a month for Essentials with 3 agents and 600 message credits, and $349 a month for Pro with 5 agents and 2,000 credits. Extra agents cost $50 or $70 a month, add-on credits $0.03 each, and a $15 monthly campaign fee applies to 10DLC numbers. ColdTexting is the alternative for sales teams that text leads and need consent proof on every contact.

Enterprise is quoted on request. Annual paid upfront costs $1,430 a year for Essentials and $3,350 for Pro, and annual plans come with 10 to 20 percent more credits. Included credits that you do not use expire at the end of each billing cycle, so a quiet month does not bank anything for a busy one.
Two charges sit outside the plan price. When the pool runs dry you buy add-on credits at $0.03 each, and if those run out too, Textline buys backup credits for you at $0.04 each, with a 250 credit minimum held on every account. And if you text from a local 10DLC number, the pricing page lists a $15 campaign fee on every monthly bill.

Textline's help center does not say whether inbound replies draw from the credit pool, so ask before you sign; if they do, a team that gets a reply to half its texts burns 50 percent more credits than the table shows. ColdTexting counts outbound segments against the plan, and every limit is listed on the ColdTexting pricing page.

Honest fit
Who should keep Textline and who should switch
Keep Textline if
- Your texting is mostly customer support, with surveys after each conversation.
- You handle patient information and need a HIPAA plan.
- You want web chat and text in one inbox across several departments.
Switch to ColdTexting if
- Your reps text leads first, from web forms, ads or bought lead lists.
- You sell solar, insurance, lending, real estate or home services and fear TCPA claims.
- Your team is growing and $50 to $70 per extra agent keeps raising the bill.
- You want follow-ups that stop the moment a lead replies.
A single marketing text sent without consent can cost $500 under the TCPA, or up to $1,500 when the violation is willful. How we prevent that is covered on the TCPA compliance software page.
Switching
How to move from Textline in four steps
- 1 Export contacts and opt-in historyExport contacts from Textline or your CRM and keep the form, keyword or call where each person agreed to texts, with the date.
- 2 Register your brandEnter your legal business name, EIN and website. ColdTexting files the 10DLC brand and campaign and assigns a local number. Carrier review usually takes a few business days.
- 3 Import and map consentMap the opt-in columns to consent source and date. Rows with no source are held back, and anyone who replied STOP stays unsubscribed.
- 4 Rebuild saved replies as sequencesPaste the texts your agents already send, fix what the compliance score flags and set each follow-up to stop on reply.
Time the move to the end of a Textline billing cycle, since unused included credits expire anyway. Our 10DLC registration page lists what carriers ask for, and the two way texting page shows how replies route to the right rep.

FAQ
Questions about Textline pricing and alternatives
Textline costs $149 a month on Essentials and $349 a month on Pro when billed month to month, according to its 2025 pricing update in the Textline help center. Annual billing paid monthly drops that to $134 and $314. HIPAA versions cost $249 and $569, and Enterprise is quoted on request.
Essentials includes 3 agents and Pro includes 5. Each extra agent costs $50 a month on Essentials and $70 a month on Pro, and adds 200 or 400 message credits. A team of 10 agents on Pro pays $349 plus 5 agents at $70, so $699 a month before extra credits.
Each plan includes a monthly pool of message credits, 600 on Essentials and 2,000 on Pro, and unused included credits expire at the end of the billing cycle. An MMS uses three credits. Add-on credits cost $0.03 each and backup credits, bought automatically when you run out, cost $0.04 each.
Yes. The Textline pricing page says a $15 campaign fee appears on your bill each month for 10DLC numbers, while toll-free numbers carry no monthly registration fee. That adds $180 a year to a team that texts from a local number. ColdTexting files the 10DLC brand and campaign inside your account on every plan.
For support teams that need HIPAA plans, surveys and web chat, Textline itself is a strong fit. For sales teams that text leads, the better alternative stores the consent source on each contact, scores every message before sending, applies quiet hours by recipient state and stops sequences on reply. That is what ColdTexting is built for.
For most sales teams, yes. ColdTexting Growth costs $149 a month, or $74 billed yearly, and includes 5 users, 3 numbers and 2,500 segments. The same five people on Textline Pro cost $349 a month with 2,000 credits. Teams of three or fewer pay about the same on monthly billing.
